Garbage Day (Owl pellet)
This is likely an owl pellet with what appears to be the remains of a crab , although there are vertebrae present too, possibly from fish. Because owls don't have teeth, they swallow prey whole. Unlike most birds, they also have no crop for food storage prior to digestion. Such parts as hair, feathers, bones and crab shells are separated from the more digestible main course, then spit out later. Yum! Yum!
